Convair Electronics Filters and Crossovers are hand built in the UK to an exacting standard. Through the use of quality components, insertion points are kept to a minimum and crossover points are kept within tight tolerances. Besides sounding great these filters and crossovers are constructed to withstand a rough life on the road. Custom specifications are available for larger orders.

A two way crossover separates the low and high frequencies to a woofer and tweeter respectively. This results in better sound quality and is essential to protect the high frequency driver.
Convair 2 way crossovers include space to add attenuation resistors to the high pass side of the filter to better match the output of the high frequency driver to that of the low frequency driver. The default configuration is without resistors, the positions of the optional resistors are shown in the second and thrid images above. Crossover Attenuation Guidance
We are able to build to order most common values between 0.1mH and 7mH, subject to limitations of bobbin size and wire diameter. Please email the sales office.
