Custom Crossover for 8" Woofer with P-Audio PHT-406
Custom crossover designed around the Fane Sovereign 8-225 and the P-Audio PHT-406. Non-standard crossover alignments used to balance the tone and reduce peaks in the response of the 8-225, and compensate for low output from the PHT-406 above 6 khz.
Also possible to use this crossover with other 8" woofers similar to the 8-225, however you should aim for similar sensitivity to the 8-225. A high sensitivity 8" will most likely drown out the PHT-406 above 5kHz, resulting in a slightly dull overall sound. The final cabinet would normally benefit from some subtle EQ boost from around 18-10kHz
